Today is Halloween. Unbelievable. This means that Christmas is the day after tomorrow. I'm exhausted and cannot believe the holiday season is upon us. I have to admit I've been a bad, bad, BAD Momma. I didn't decorate for Halloween, and as of 9:55 a.m. today, I have not bought any candy to hand out either.
Halloween was always my Mom's favorite dress up day. Each year she would don her witches hat and wig and stand and give out candy to the neighborhood. She said it was the only day she could be her true self. Seriously though, my mother spent years doing geneology research and actually found a few members of our family that were victims of the Salem witch trials. I'm in the process of digging out those records to see just what they were charged with and will share when I do.
I found this photo in one of my Facebook albums and thought I'd share......when I find the rest, I will get them posted. Greatness. Pure Greatness.
I'm hoping that by 3 p.m. I'll be a little more inspired to do something creative for Halloween. If not, y'all will be in for a double treat for Thanksgiving!
(PS. To tell you what kind of Monday it is: our office is having a "follow up" meeting to our professional development workshop last week, but it is actually a Halloween brunch. My boss and I are hiding out in the office. I forgot about it, didn't bring anything, and didn't dress up. See, a few years ago, I wore this one costume (that will go unmentioned) and I can't seem to live it down. Who schedules something at 10 a.m. on Monday morning? Maybe I should have brought my stocking cap and been Scrooge for Halloween! LOL BAAAHUMBUG!!!!!!!!!!!)
Love Peace and Pie.

Found you on FB and just had to pop by and visit your blog. I am so not ready to even think about Christmas. Scary!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteWelcome! I'm so glad you stopped by. I don't even want to think of Christmas. While I love the holiday (Christmas eve is my favorite), I don't like all the chaos.
